We are blessed that you are stopping by our website and we are blessed if you choose to join us for worship on Sunday mornings. Our worship times on Sunday are 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. during the academic year. In June we have summer worship times at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m.
What do I really need to know?
Do I have to be a Lutheran to Participate?
How do I follow the service?

Everything you will need for the service is printed in the bulletin. The congregational responses are printed in bold along with the sections of the service.
Holy Communion is often referred to as “The Lord’s Supper.” this is a time that we celebrate every Sunday. It is the ultimate act in forgiveness by God through the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross. It is the time when we hear Jesus words to take and eat the body of Christ (Bread) and the blood of Christ (wine or grape juice). It is one of our two sacraments in the Lutheran Church. We believe that the bread and wine are the body and blood; however, they also retain the natural element of being bread and wine (or grape juice). You do not have to be a Lutheran to receive this sacrament. If you want to receive this sacrament, God invites you to the table. If you are more comfortable coming up for a blessing, we would be happy to accommodate you.
During our worship services we collect an offering. this is a monetary contribution that helps us continue the ministries here at Christus Victor Lutheran Church. The offering is a model of what has been done in the early church all the way back to the time of Jesus. This contribution helps to keep our food pantry running, our Sunday schools operating, and all the other ministries that happen here at church. There are other ways to help our ministries. We invite and encourage the donation of time and talents to help existing ministries or start new ones. We are blessed by any of the three donations (Time, Talent, and/or Treasure) that you may choose to donate.
Yes we do. We would love for you to check out our calendar on the homepage. There are numerous events that occur throughout the year. We have events like: Mother’s Day celebration brunch, shrimp and crab feasts, Christmas bazaar, and a host of other things that go on throughout the year.
Then you have come to the right place! We all have questions about God’s interactions in our life. We have questions of the Bible. Here at CVLC we have a Sunday School for young children, middle school classes, and adult Bible study classes on Sunday morning between the two services during the academic year.
Again, you have come to the right place. If you want to have a discussion about being a Lutheran or becoming a member of Christus Victor, the Pastor would love to speak with you. There are many wonderful things about this process. One of the best things is that we bring all that we are to the cross and into a community, together. if you have questions, Feel free to contact Pastor Chris at email@example.com
